Castle Rock Asset Hospitality Management LLC is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Nashville, TN

OVERVIEW: 

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for supervising the financial activities of the hotel. You will handle the checkbook, including payables, travel agent commissions and other disbursements, reconciling the bank accounts and taxes monthly. You will also assist with the preparation and distribution of financial reports, balance sheet schedules, fixed asset schedules, internal and external audits, inventory preparation and supervision along with other reports. Using your knowledge and experience with forward-looking analyses, you will assist with preparing budgets and forecasting as necessary. Consistency and confidentiality are both key when it comes to our finances, so you will need to display an analytical, discrete approach to problems with high regard for detail and accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Prepare and coordinate monthly forecasts and outlooks, including, but not limited to, quarterly reforecasts for owner and any similar reports.

•Prepare budget forms and assist in the completion of the entire budget packages.

•Review financial reports in accordance with reporting calendars and ensure that all reports are submitted on a timely basis.

•Provide guidance and supervision to all Finance/Accounting employees including recruiting and hiring talent.

•Prepare all other financial reports and analyses.

•Prepare all year-end reports, including tax reporting packages.

•Maintain the books of accounts and prepare monthly reports.

•Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external and internal auditors in the completion of their field work.

•Oversee labor management for all departments.

•Oversee all billing and accounts receivable including the credit process for client’s credit worthiness, direct billing set up of accounts, and follow up of all payments.

•Assist the Director of Finance & Accounting in the completion and implementation of all audit recommendations.

•Handle the administration of all bank accounts, ensures bank resolutions are updated, and prepare treasury reports.

•Assist the Director of Finance & Accounting ensuring accounting processes are compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP). 

•Assist the Director of Finance & Accounting preparing and filing timely sales and use tax returns and 1099 tax reporting.

•Develop and maintain positive working relationships.

•Comply with quality assurance standards. 

•Follow company and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; wear nametag; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. 

•Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).

•Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.

•Have access to reliable transportation and follow attendance policy.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DUTIES:

•Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Director of Finance & Accounting.

•Assist in other areas as needed.

•Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any reports of theft.

•All other duties as assigned.

OTHER:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
